Will it be allright?
« on: September 19, 2010, 04:48:50 pm »
May 2011 would be my AS sitting and 2012 my A2. The problem is, I might have to take AS in 2011 and AS&A2 again in May 2012. Would this be a problem for my Uni applications? And would the University authorities know if I've done my AS twice?

That depends on the university you are going to apply in.

And yes, universities can check whether you have done your AS twice or not.

It will not, in any way, affect my grades right?

Repeating AS will affect your A-Level grades ONLY IF you get more marks than you got in the first attempt. Otherwise it is the policy of CIE that they take the highest marks into consideration when scheming your grades.

I think when you apply for the admissions, universities ask for your personal database of examinations from the Board though I am not sure about this but universities do know everything.

Every board, like CIE, Edexcel, OCR, AQA, etc. Nothing is hidden from universities when you apply for admissions.

Is it possible to offer M1 in AS and S1 in A2 instead of M2?
