Most universities say that they would only take students who have taken their exams in one sitting and all that.
But I've heard that by 'resits' they mean exams taken after the 2-year A-level programme.

What I mean is, I'm in 12 grade now taking my A-levels, is it okay if I resit AS modules in January?

There is a difference between one sitting and resitting/reappearing in exams.

One sitting means you have given all the required exams in one session and yes, some universities have this policy.

Anyways, can you please explain the difference? And in which case can I resit modules during the 2-year period of Alevels.

You should consult the Admission Office of the universities you are going to apply in. They can guide you better in this because every university has different secondary requirements and criteria.

Thank you, but I've already asked 5 or 6 universities. Surprisingly, they've replied quickly after many of my emails, but about the resits, none of them have replied so far and it's been over 36 hours.
