Hmm a very uninspiring 3-0 win for England.  Not great seeing Rooney getting all hot-headed about a friendly again.  I fear some of the USA players are gonna target that weakness.  What a disaster it would be for England if Rooney got sent off in their first game!  Not looking good...

I'm not discourging the team, but I just feel England are no way near good enough to win the world cup.  We've got a good midfield, but our central defence is poor, none of the goalkeepers are world class (none of them play in the Champions' League) and we need a better partner for Rooney (unless we go for 4-5-1).  England just isn't good enough against the big teams.  2 own goals needed for England to win, says it all.  I think the furthest we'll go is the semi-final, but that's still very optimistic.

I'm guessing it's the British media's fault for talking up England's chances every single time there's a Euro or World Cup.

Totally unacceptable from Green, what a gift to the USA.  The sad thing is Capello would not realise how bad he is and would not drop him, so wouldn't be surprised if we see more of the same from him.  :(
