How to increase your torrent speed

On this page there is a patch for windows xp. When I installed it my torrent speed doubled and I have been doing up to 10gb per day.

Vista is awful. Idont know if it works for vista but it may work with windows 7 which is closer to xp. Keep an eye an that page - and dont try to install it yet cos you may disable your internet on your pc

i downloaded the zipped file but when i try to unzip it (using winrar) it says either in unknown format or damaged 
can u tell me some other way to unzip the file? (using any other programme)

my download speed didn't double but there was a definite increase
