Earth Hour 2010 and Student Forums

We're proud to announce that the Student Forums and Free Exam Papers will be participating in this year's Earth Hour! :D





Now what is Earth Hour all about?

What?

Unnecessary lights will be switched off for 1 hour.

Where?

All around the world - more than 100 countries!

Why?

To take a stand against Global Warming and to show the world's leaders that our planet is worth saving!

When?

Saturday, 27th of March 2010 at 8.30 PM local time!

Join Now. Turn Off. Take Action.

switching off servers and lights won't do any good to Global Warming...i don't think that ppl even care abt Global Warming and Earth Hour (apart from a few sensible one's)...things have gone too far away now...and seriously i think that now its too late for the things to get back to normal...(that's just what i think)...

Well i guess that's where most people go wrong.. assuming that the next person wont do anything and thus not doing anything themselves.. Even a few of us around the globe who believe can make a change..
And things haven't gone too far till we say so.. :)
So.. i'm gonna do my best ... Plus sitting with friends in a candle lit room is more fun.. Try it.. :P  :D :D

but there is no point in turning off lights...how is it related to Global Warming apart from feeling depressed while thinking abt the future of Global Warming for 1 whole hour and then after that u won't even remember that 1 hour for a whole year until the next Earth Hour 2011...its just waste of time...

You dont sit feeling depressed.. Feel happy that you're doing your part to save our planet.
Some people won't think about it till next year. But some will. Some care.

No point in turning off the lights. Hello. Why do they keep telling people to buy hybrid cars, energy-saving appliances? One hour across the globe can do a lot of change than you can imagine. I don't have the stats right now since i had just come online for some research. But it does amount to a lot. Trust me.. :)

By the way i wasn't directing it at you. Just stating.

And if you switch the lights off for 1 hour you will rate about 5 cents or 2 pence. It can go towards your pension.

Turning off your lights for an hour shows the world's leaders that WE WANT CHANGE!

it's just one hour, no need to feel depressed, organize something with ur friends, take pictures and send them to the earth hour website, and ur photo will be shown to the world, and the leaders, that we want to stop global warming!

of course this wont affect the global warming directly, but it will in one way or an other .. trust me!
