Scientists believe that recent climate change has been bought about by a huge increase hn the use of fossil energy sources by a rapidly increasing human population.
Is it possible for science alone to prevent further climate change?
"...And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him." [65: 2-3]

ya it is ....but i don't think politicians would want it to stop because fossil fuel is what makes most of the countries rich ...for example ,kuwait's only source of money is the oil ..and if it stops wars starts .
Every thought why you reading this ?..

No, science alone did not cause this climate change.

I have a very different opinion regarding this!

I don't believe that any climate change will be caused overall. This is just a fuss.

First, I do believe that Carbon di oxide increases our average temperature of the earth. The greenhouse effect has been proven. As the average temperature gets higher, the rate of snowfall increases over the arctic. This is due to more water being evaporated from the sea because of the higher temperature caused by global warming. The evaporated water is being converted into more snow when they are carried to the lower temperatures of the arctic. The snowfall increases the amount of ice glacier over the arctic. And it does not cause flooding of some countries due to more ice being melted.
The amount of water in the oceans decreases.

So we think that we should progress as much as we can, and not think about polluting the environment. CO2 is not poisonous. But we should be careful in emitting any poisonous gases like CO.

You may have a different opinion!

well ...even if it doesn't cause climate change ,CO2 must be stopped .
and while trying to stop this ,human will make something new ...who knows >

true, but can science alone prevent climate change ?

and if it can't- what else can  ?

It's to late to prevent climate change. We can slow it down, but not prevent it.

The only way to survive is to adapt... learn to breath CO2 ;) xD

well obviously we need technology for alternatives to fossil fuels, like windmills, etc. and communication/cooperation skills to help spread the word and influence people to invest in fighting climate change. Preventing climate change involves a lot of things... law might be needed

It depends what science is lol

I don't think scientists alone can do anything to save us from the climate change. As citizens of this world, it is our duty to grow and opt greener ways to live. Just consider how many cars does a rich family own..If elitists behave in such an absurd manner and then talk like a diplomat in climate change conferences...what sense does it make?? Like yesterday I was watching a news channel where they were discussing about global warming. I noticed their backgrounds which had 3-4 lamps on for no apparent reason...the studio was all lit up, more than what was required....All these discussions they hold make no sense at all. If people don't start acting and reaching out to the poor and illiterate, scientists won't be able to do much

Now they are having COP15, some conference meeting in Copenhagen to try to resolve climate change.

Now there is news that hackers managed to get emails sent between scientists, and these emails might contain some evidence that scientists are manipulating data on climate change research... that climate change might not be going as fast as we thought...

Does anyone know more about this? It sounds a bit shocking to me
