HELP!!!

The question is shade AUB'. Why is the pointed part shaded? (See below)

dude cuz di is A union B'
if it was A intersection B' then we wouldn't shade that part!!

yaa that's right

B'  is everything not in B...which includes A and the rest of the universal set. and it is union A and A consists of the shaded oart also

Hey i got that, but can u explain why we wouldn't shade that part if it was A intersection B' ???  :-[

intersection would mean common between A and B'
So u would only shade A without the intersection or the rest of the universal set

See .. intersection is d part both d sets share ... if its compliment of B ...
it wud share only A widout intersection of A nd B ... because this intersection dusnt cum in B' ....
is this rite ?

Diagram two shows set of B'

Diagram three is intersection of the two....what is common in the two diagrams?? Only set of A

Yea .. its like putting 2 diagrams on top of each other nd den d part which is double shaded ( or as nid said common ) is ur answer
