What do you guys mean by "harder"?
Syllabus or Examination?

Because, GCSE has everything that IGCSE offers in addition of another few chapters. GCSE has more material to cover. I'm not sure of how the exam is though.

What makes you think that GCSE is only in UK  :-X? I'm in Bahrain at the moment and there are UK based schools here that offer GCSE instead of IGCSE.

I just got this from the Br.Council that IG is betr than GCE O levels becasue, is it more updated and better for modern unis

It's a common misconception that GCSE is not offered in any other place other than UK...GCSE is offered in a lot schools all over the world but it's roots come from UK...
Just like how my cousins are doing CBSE in Moscow...C.B.S.E is the Central board of India like G.C.S.E in the UK but a lot many schools abroad offer CBSE

no way.......my cousin in england mailed me his past gcse papers n they were nothing compared to igcse.....seriously the whole system is dumbed down in uk........ :P
