Paris- the Trojan prince, when given a choice for the Golden apple chose Aphrodite instead of her which annoyed her. She started making plans to defeat the Trojans, becoming subjective- NOT FAIR! She was the one to give Odysseus the idea for the Trojan Horse. I love the Trojans! Gods are NOT supposed to directly interfere or take sides with the mortals and heroes- very smartly she claimed to "helping" the heroes which was more like taking her anger off them.

OMG !!!! She did that only because Poseidon desecrated her temple by trying to have sex with Medusa. 

Hey, hey, Paris scorned her by denying the fact that she should have the Golden Apple - he gave it to Aphrodite. ::)

What do you expect Athena to do ? ::)

okay tough decision between athena and artemis, but i decided to go for artemis in the end...hunting and forests FTW!!
she's also goddess of the moon, you forgot  ;D
and i know hestia to be the goddess of the hearth, not fire in general...just saying, cuz 'goddess of fire' gives a different impression...

Just because Athena is a virgin goddess that doesn't mean other maidens are supposed to be her followers. ::) :P

It was Paris the lover boy- choice between knowledge and or a beautiful woman.. What do you expect him to choose. :P

Its because of Paris that the Trojan War started off - he took Helen away from King Agamemnon's brother.

Agamemnon was looking for a pretense to  attack Troy and Paris gave it to him.

Secondly, Achilles was the son of a Nymph and King Peleus - no Gods involved. ;)
