a pippete is used to add a few drops of a solution (no measurement) whereas a burette is used to add accurate quantity of solution

doesnt a pippette measure 25cm3?
and a burette measures up to 50cm3 and up to two dicimal places
thats wot our chemistry teacher told us

25cm3 pipette! this is the first time ever heard of such a pipette. it may be that i'm wrong but i still don't think a pipette is that big. :)

yeah but there are 2 types
a dropper pippette and a pippette
or i think so
the dropper pippette is the one with no measurements
anyone have the nigel straney book? it says so in there

let me clear that

Burette- A long glass tube with a tap on the end. The tube is marked every 1 cm3 with smaller graduations of 0.1cm3. It is used in titrations to accurately measure small volumes (upto 50cm3) of liquid.


Pipette-A piece of glassware used for measuring  and transferring a fixed volume of liquid.

and godfather there r pipettes that measure 50cm3too. I've seen them in my lab. And actually we have used  25cm3 pipettes for our practical experiments.

kam the dropper is also called a teat pipette. that's a teat pipette
