No, this thread is just for the ICT exam tomorrow.

Oh By the way, did u guys know that we're the first batch to write an ICT exam?
it was just IT previously:D:D
so expect an easy paper guys, like the practicals!

hmm ok,
1) be thorough with ur peripheral devices
2) Systems analysis (go through thoroughly!!)
3) Section 7 - concentrate on expert systems, real online and batch processing, and the likes
4) Know all security related procedures

could somebody help me with Section 8.2 of the syllabus? Just tell me EXACTLY what is required for it.

Serial access is a method of accessing data records. In order to access a data record in a serial access file, it is necessary to start at the beginning of the file and read all the preceding records. The records are not stored in any particular order.

Direct access is the fastest method of accessing records in a file. The computer can store or retreive the records without the need to read other records first. Direct access is used with magnetic disks but not with magnetic tape, which use serial access.

I have the screen capture forms / output formats just give me a few minutes to download a photo editing program to scan them with.
