A place to keep things over the summer
« on: April 11, 2012, 01:24:37 pm »
Hello peeps, I hope this is the right forum for this, but here goes...

I am finishing up my A Levels this summer and I'm heading down to London for my degree at UCL. I'm not from the UK (I'm from Greece) so I need to find a way of getting all my UK belongings down to London (from Manchester), and also a cheap way of storing them for the summer until I need them in October. I've asked UCL about it and they can't help me. None of my teachers here at college seem to know what to advise me to do either, so I started looking online at storage and shipping services. I found one which looks ok: http://www.studentstoragebox.co.uk/student-storage-manchester.php

Has anyone here ever heard of this company before? Are they reliable?

An alternative or better solution would be to find somebody in Manchester or London with a small spare room to rent. Something really small where I could stack my suitcases would be ideal. Maybe 100-200 pounds a month?

If anyone has any other ideas, please let me know!!!

Thanks!!!

I have heard of this company, I never tried it.

Here is a famous one across the country http://www.bigyellow.co.uk/.

I guess they are all good, because all of them offer the same services, but it all depends on your budget

Cheers
