Alright.

Great idea.
Self study now and join the group studies from Feb.
Yes, you'll be having more knowledge. :)
Try covering up most of the topics yourself and when you join from Feb on wards you will be more confident and will understand the concepts better. :)

Good luck. (:

I will try helping as much as I can. (:

but romeesa, cn u tel me wat does this specification points wants us to know,

1. analyse and interpret data on the possible significance for health of blood cholesterol levels and levels of high-density lipoproteins (HDLs) and low-density lipoproteins (LDLs). Describe the evidence for a casual relationship between blood cholesterol levels (total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol) and CVD

2. Discuss how people use scientific knowledge about the effects of diet (including obesity indicators), exercise and smoking to reduce their risk of coronary heart disease.

3. Analyse data on energy budgets and diet so as to be able to discuss the consequences of energy imbalance, including weight loss, weight gain, and development of obesity.

4. Analyse and interpret quantitative data on illness and mortality rates to determine health risks ( including distinguishing between correlation and causation and recognising conflicting evidence)

5. Evaluate design of studies used to determine health risk factors (including sample selection and sample size used to collect data that is both valid and reliable)

pls tel me wat does these specification points want us to know ???? wat does these spec point mean ,  because thse spec, point , i dont know their meaning. pls help me dear..

need ur reply.

Spec points are for you to check if you are covering everything as you go along.
It is like a check list.

Angl31,

I am using Edexcel AS and A2 Biology Student Book not the hodder education and Salters Nuffield Advanced Biology textbuks..

the specification point, which acts as a checklist, does not cover the entire concept in textbuk , that i am using... Believe me it is.

If i have these two textbuks, alhamdulillah i wil have more information and surely it will completely cover each specification point. I love specification , becoz the order of the specification points are arranged the questions in the exam....

For example in biology unit 1, the topic 2 which is Genes and Health

the first spec.point says-

Explain how models such as the fluid mosaic model of cell membranes are interpretations of data used to develop scientific explanations of the structure and properties of cell membranes...

tel me which textbuks contains the best concept that covers completely exactly wat this spec, point says..

waiitn for ur reply....

^ well, there is no such thing as ONE book which will cover everything for you. This is what I have felt for biology.
You will need to use as many resources as possible and clear your concepts.

Use the student book for A2 bio and if there is something you don't understand Google it and make notes.

yeahhhhhhhhhh i am bck to SF. :) :) :)

I was being punished for 60hours by disrespecting the moderators. I was soo sad about that/// I didnt know that they have banned me not to post here anymore. I was shocked and upset. :'( :'( :'(

I think this has done by ABOD. It is alright. Wat to do.. Whn i deserve to be punished, then i should. No way to move... Never mind. I want to ask soo many things from u, but i feel like i musnt ask u anything. Becoz i am scared, what if i disrespect to moderator in some other day and again i will get the same punishment from somewhere. Who knows??? It is better not to ask anything, as i cannot ask u freely.  I must take my self very serious to write carefully in this SF.

I am very sure after reading this u especially the moderator one will be very happy as u deserve to get this from me. No problem. Allah knows what is happening the truth... that is more than enough. How much u smile and laugh and be happy after reading this, doesnt matters me at all. Wat it matters me the most, is Allah alone knows the truth and is truly beneficalll. All praises and thanks to Allah.

I think this is the last last last post i am writing to u.  :'( :'(
May Allah bless u and the other staffs alwayssss. Allanakavar and Gud luck to u . Bye Bye Bye Bye..  :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\
