Post by: HUSH1994 on August 07, 2010, 09:21:56 am
i have a few doubts for my ICT ig in oct\nov,which are:
1.import from a digital source, import from website(is it save image and then import it)
2.Change aspect ratio on an image
3.what are widows and orphans in word?
and thats all for now
and By the way guys anyone knows when to get the statement of entry for oct\nov if u r a school candidate

1) Yes,you save the image and then import it.

2) This is basically telling you to change the size of the image. It depends on the programme you are using. So you are going to have to tell me which programme you need to do this at. If it is front page. You have to right click and then there will be properties of the picture. There, you have to find the ratio or size tab, and change it there.

3) Widows are spaces and Orphans are enters. The dots in the middle and the Backward Ps are the Widows and Orphans.

To save the graphic to a different format eg. From .jpg to .png or .gif you should either use photoshop or MS office picture manager.

Engraved, can you please check can this be done in Frontpage? Apparently I don't have it on my PC. Thanks. :)

It depends on which update you have. If fully updated then yes...

The statement of entry is given by your centre/school itself. Some time before your exam commence. Contact your centre for the accurate dates.

Either one should be fine considering that most of the core functions in 2007 are present in 2003 as well.

Download MS Frontpage 2003 off the internet.

Frontpage is the most common website authoring software apparently.

I wanted to start this topic few days ago, but no problem ;D
I would recommend using microsoft office 2003 package for solving ICT p2 and p3
but if u donno everything then 2007 would be easier for you since u can find wat u want easily.
For editing the webpages, u just need the basics.
I have tried both MS frontpage 2003 and DreamWeaver CS5,  i will not say the Frontpage is better, but its easy, whereas using DW is much harder, unless u know how to use it.
If u want to Design ur own webpage, with drop down lists, interactive buttons, forms etc, then use DW.
