hi ..i'm mademoiselle gg , and i'll be teaching ya arabic :) .....but u gotta kno smthn abt arabic lang ..is that i'll be teaching ya the slang arabic , the one that Arabs use to communicate in their daily lives :) ....well u gotta kno that arabs have different accents so there might be a word that means diferently according to each accent +++++ there might be different words that give the same meaning as well

1. hi/heyz/hello stands for hala / ahleen / marhaba / Salam / marhabteen ....
when someone says hala u ans ahleen . and if he says marhaba u ans marhabteen
2.how r u ? stands for keef halik *? / shlonik ^ / sho akbarik #
* halik is for girl , and halak is for guys , and halkom is for a group of ppl

when someone is goona travel u say trooh wi tirjaa bisalama meanin we hope ur journey is safe/ we hope u go and coemback safe

whenever u see anyone whether u kno him or not u should say assalam alayikom / salam meanaing hi
when some comes over to ur house u say welcome in arabic which is itfadal

THIRD lesson :
(1) in a family u got to kno stuff differe in the arabic language . my Dad is baba/ abooya / abi / walidi
my Mom is mama / ommi / walidati .my sister is okti my brother is aki my uncle from ur mother's side is called kali for ur father's side is called ammi .my aunt from ur mom's side is called kalti and from ur father's side is called ammati . my grandfather *whatever side it is * u say jidi and my grandmother is jiditi .ur niece is bint aki/okti ur nephew ibin aki/okti . my grandson is hafeedi and my granddaughter is hafeedati . my son is waladi / ibni and my daughter is binnti / ibnati
FOURTH lesson :
(1) no. 1 is wahid no.2 is ithneen no.3 is thalathaa no.4 is arba'a no.5 is kamsa no.6 is sita no.7 is saba'a no. 8 is thamanya no.9 is tisa'a no. 10 is ashara .
(2) where do u live? stands for inti feen aysha ? / inti ween aysha ? / inti aysha feen ?
now remeber inti is for girl inta is for guy into is for a group of ppl
aysha is for girl ayish is for guy and ayisheen is for a group of ppl

SEVENTH lesson :
(1)walad means boy . bint means girl . omm means a mother . abb means a father. jid means grandfather/grandmother . whenever anyone says ya it means he's callin lol ....so if i say ya bint to for ex: dodi this means i'm callin her .
(2)good stands for jaeed . excellent means mumtaz . u can describe someone as mumtaza * /mumtaz ^ /mumtazeen #. shatir ^ / shtra * / shatreen # means good girl/guy/ppl. students stands for taliba */talib ^/ tullab # . .mudarisa/ustatha/mualima for girl ..mudaris/ustath/mualim for guy mudarsoon/asatitha/mualimeen for group of ppl

When An Arab says Jazaka Allahu Kulla Kair (i.e. May God Reward you for what you did for me ..etc) you say in return Wa Jazak*
*Jazaki for a girl , Jazakom for a group :)
Afwan is mostly for when someone says Shukran/shukran Jazeelan ;)

All that I have gathered till now is:
7= The deep, glottal HHHH' sound
5= "KH"
3= "aieen", if your familiar with arabic script... if not, its a glottal "aa"
2= It acts as an apostrophe in romanized Arabic

I learnt some arabic from my Arabic teacher once:
"Kaifa 'aaluka?" = How are you?
Tairun - Bird.
Tabilatun - Table.
Darrajatun = Bicycle.
Jazakallahu Khair = Thank you.
Shajaratun = Tree.
I learnt some more.

I have to give a resit now or else they wont pass me for A2...Shoot me.

Suggestions? Well how about giving us a lesson on descriptions....like to describe in arabic when somebody is happy or angry or sad.....or nervous or annoyed.....something like that ;D
That could be useful when talkin to teachers.... :P

i Went to some saudi uni for visit..and stayed for an hour..had this really funny baby talk with saudi girls..
after that 1 hour i felt as if i would have forgotten english if i had stayed any longer :P
and they were learning english from me...like....
what do we Say to "ana ibgha coffee" i said" i want coffee" and they were like.."ohhh woww yalla note it down"
and were noting it in their mobiles
then there was some talk about facebook..and they said they use ARABIc facebook..
and i said "ok i use english"
they replied "ohh there as english facebook too :O"
