Title: Social Networking sites....good or bad??
Post by: nid404 on October 01, 2009, 08:44:32 am: I think they're very addictive....it's good that you can stay connected with frnds and all that....which has hardly happened for me....all my school frnds are on my frnds list for name's sake....nobody even chats with me when im online....what's it for then??

And they pose a lot of threat too...

A Mumbai businessman’s 16-year son was found strangled to death, after his family received ransom calls from his cell phone. Adnan Patrawala, a regular of the social networking site Orkut, apparently, had an appointment with an online acquaintance this Saturday night. Three youths, who are said to be friends of Adnan from the pool parlor are in police custody. Mumbai police is also looking for an online friend ‘Angel’ and one other person whose identity has not been revealed.
In the meantime, Adnan’s scapbook on Orkut is getting hundreds of visits per hour, with messages of condolences and demands for quick arrests of the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
“..wrds cant describe me but i m always coool wht more?..”, says Adnan describing himself to the Orkut community. Was it anyone from that same community who took the 16-year old’s life? Mumbai police will have the answer in the next few days.

I, myself, don't like social networking sites......think they're a pain....i recieve notification for something i don't even wanna knkow abt

and the so-called real life friends that are on the guy/gal's facebook act as if one another doesnt even exist in real life
