Title: How to get A ?? URGENT - REPLY SOON GUYS PLEASE
Post by: guitarbuddy on October 13, 2012, 02:51:15 pm
So my problem is-
CIE- I got 62 in Paper 1 in Maths and 31 in Paper 6 in AS LEVEL . The grade threshold for A in Paper 1 was 58 so i got A
and in Paper 6 it is 32 so I got C. Overall B . My total was 93 and for A grade threshold was 96 so is it because of 3 marks i got a B ?
In A LEVEL according to 2012 may june mark scheme A GRADE threshold is 188 so for 2012 oct/nov Grade threshold for A would be around 188 according to the difficulty of the paper. It my be 198 or may be 178 (assumption ). So take it as 188
So would i need total 188 marks to get an A. 188-83=95 so if i get above 95 in A level papers would i get an A ??
Is it the same for chemistry and physics ?? I got a C(Paper 1 ) B (Paper 2) C(Paper 3) in chemistry in AS LEVEL Overall B . If i get an A in Paper 4 and Paper 5 and if my total sum of all the papers is above the threshold grade for A ? Would i get an A ??

Thank you for patience to read this and replying to this. Thanks Hope you reply

That is the way it works. The grade thresholds just add up the scores on all your papers to give you a grade.
