I'm currently trying to get to grips with writing my CV, and after reading it a few times it just seems a bit dull....
I've recently graduate and after a small summer holiday I'm now looking for my first "proper" job! I understand there is a lot of competition so I was hoping to find out if people have stuck with the traditional CV or have thought outside the box by using social media, vid application?
I want to stand out from the crowd so was thinking of going down the more creative route to make a stand out first impression.....has anyone in this forum used other a different method of presenting themselves and has it worked?
Thanks

I never understood CV's.
They always made me think I was begging for a job.

I disagree, I think it is a great tool for an introduction to a company, the CV should be informative not grovelling and what I was trying to get to the bottom of the best way to present yourself through the medium of a CV.
A cover letter however is a selling tool and should be written telling the prospective employer why you are great for the job.....i.e begging/grovelling ;)

Dogs grovel.

The CV samples you posted were totally modern and sophisticated. Thank you for the links. I might consider changing mine a bit. :)
