I was researching about how to avoid diabetes long time back since I have few family members who has it, so knowing it is genetic..I had to look more into it. Almost all the articles I read were similar to the one below so I thought of sharing this with everyone because it is very beneficial.
Diabetes is a disease that strikes more and more people every year, and the increase seems to only continue. This disease can lead to severe complications such as heart problems, kidney trouble, blindness, and amputation of limbs.
There is some thought that diabetes is genetic and that we may be born with a tendency for this disease. It is well known that it runs in families and women who have had gestational diabetes during pregnancy are at risk as well. Can we prevent or delay the onset of diabetes? Yes, here are some simple ways to allow you to avoid or delay this disease.
1)Eat healthy and wisely. Eating smaller portions is a great way to lose weight. You can make it look like more by using a smaller plate or a salad plate. Avoid snacking while you are cooking. Don't be tempted to eat the unfinished food to keep from throwing it away or storing it in the refrigerator. Eat breakfast every day, and make your meal and snack times regular by having them at the same time each day.
2)Limit your meat, poultry, and fish intake to no more than three ounces a day. In size, this is equal to about the size of a pack of cards. Another good tip is to listen to music instead of watching TV while you are eating. If you are watching TV while you are eating, you are not aware of how much you are eating and will almost always overeat.
3)Skip desserts and refined sugars. When eating out, have a good-sized vegetable salad to take the edge off your appetite. When you receive your entrée, share it with your dinner companion, or ask for a take-home box immediately after receiving your meal. Have meals that have been stir fried or baked.
4)Use low-salt broth instead of oil and butter.
5)Drinking a full glass of water before eating will also help reduce your appetite.
6)If you are eating at a fast-food restaurant, choose the healthier foods, such as grilled chicken, salads and fruits.
7)Increase your exercise. Next to diet, exercise is vital to a healthy body especially for diabetics. If nothing else, try walking every day or swimming at your local club. Taking walks is a nice way to keep up with your friends and an enjoyable, healthy way to take a break from work related stress. If possible, avoid the elevator and take the stairs as much as you can. You can try to march in place if you cannot get outside for some reason.
All of these activities can help you prevent the onset of diabetes and all can improve your overall health levels. Try them!

Thanks for sharing Mony :)
I have also heard that people who have diabetes should exercise daily, only a 30 min walk is also enough
And they should avoid fruits rich in sugar, the best example is Mango
Don't be tempted to eat the unfinished food to keep from throwing it away
I do that quite often, I am not diabetic though :P

I have many of friends who are young and have diabetes. =/
Also my best friend's young brother has diabetes since he was 6 years old.
It is increasing and I think it's all because technology is making us lazier..day by day and ofc the amount of fast food restaurant opened in every city around the world. ::)
Yeah, that's true..they have to walk, I have a friend who walks 30 mins daily and she got diabetes.
I leave the leftovers in the refrigerator and eat later or give to the cats/pigeons.
-
And i heard that yuh can never avoid it but reduce it.
-
^ Yeah thats true 'cause it cant be cured for like forever :P
If you start eating more sugary food then it will increase again, you just have to balance it :D

Exactly. So yuh can't avoid it. Yuh can only restrict it to minimal attacks. :o

There is a surgery you can do now in Germany and you can be cured forever. It's I think creating some cells in your blood or something..it's related to pharmacy and biotechnology..but idk what is it. =/
-
Thanks for sharing, dear! (:
I will try sharing the tips with a cousin of mine! ;)
JazakAllah khair. <3

Thank you all for the +Rep. :P
Yeah, do share it. When the sugar level keeps changing in the blood..it gets very irritating that's why you should have a constant balanced one.
Thanks for reading love. <3 =]

I think they do by genetic engineering. We studied in bio. They insert the gene of a human which produces insulin into the bacteria. The bacteria then starts to produce the insulin and the benefit is they multiply rapidly forming large amounts of bacteria producing insulin. Well I'm not sure about this:|
I feel like a doctor 8) ;D

^ So is this surgery like safe or critical?
I haven't researched much about it but my best friend is traveling with her brother so that he does it.
I think it's safe. =/ It requires more research though. Many people suffer from diabetes so I think it'll get popular soon. =/

^ So is this surgery like safe or critical?
I think its safe! Its just the insertion of a bacteria producing insulin into human

I recently Got diabetes I guess Cuz It Runs In the family... Well i call this Disease Stupid I swear at it I m not even Joking A little bit There below Or high Changes Everything I Inject Insulin like 4 times A day
If it gets Low I end Up feeling too Drowsy Not In Sense Tired , extremely low Unconscious And When Its Is High I end Up Sleepin So Yeah Its was Kinda hard For Me too cope With This During Exams
Yes Certainly Exercise Is Really Good For EveryOne
Addition to that you Need To be Stress free.. My mom keeps On gettin Annoyed By The Fact The I Get Angry Really Fast So Yeah.. its Really Not Good
-
Just say alhamdolilah. This is life after all..don't you think? Or shall I say a dream which will end any second and the sweet reality will be the after life inshAllah.
God doesn't give everyone everything they want. Patience..you need to be patient and I'm DEFINITE you are being rewarded for it. God makes it difficult for the people He wants in His paradise. =]
Just exercise more and try maintaining it balanced. Maybe because you just got it recently..you are still not able to cope with it but later on you'll get used to the new life style. InshAllah.
