At the end I June I will send $100 by email to anyone who is champion of the most games in the arcade. There are more than 100 games so you have a lot of work to do!

there have been few problems in the arcade....
in 'Plasmanautv2".....after i got a new high score and i clicked on the submit button.....its said, "invalid request variable"
also in some other games (not specific) when i submit any score......it says something like....." failed to save because cant find session".......something like that
hope u fix it soon we can save our scores.....

just enter the arcade....play games and try to get the highest scores with the highest number of championships (which is mine right now, 71 games ) :D
by june....the end of it, the champion will be revealed and the $100 will be sent and hopefully a certificate :D

ok so u mean the HIGHEST SCORE..and the max no of games.
for example u have an HIGH SCORE in 20 games
and i have an high score in
21 games
so i WIN right..:S

We cant do it until the exams are over cos we might really muck it up and the forum might not work at all.

uhmm unfortunately i have to post again...
astar. u saw what happened to the arcade recently, when two people got high scores in everything, and even ran a buffer overflow on the system and took down the whole arcade. its unfair to have such an insecure arcade, for people who like to play games and win and get hi scores... not everyone has to put 9999999999999999 into a game in which 10000 is the max possible score... please do something about this... anyone can put a realistic hi score in. dont give the certificate to the guy who's best at this....

and by the way, it wasnt hard AT ALL. i dint have to figure out anything. just went and changed a post parameter called score which the game sends. sheesh. talk about security... no obfuscation, server, nothing. cheat engine works too, but it would be too much of a bother... much easier just die once and change score sent... and variables are stored in the same registers, which arent ever checked... cmon dude....
i wont cheat. honestly. not anymore (consider the thing a gift)... but someone else could especially if ur giving out $100 thingies...

i guess something went wrong while me playing militarysnow cuz i got 746 right now......and i dont think there is such score in this game.....
if that score is off the limits of the game, i hope mr. Paul would delete it.

still.....i feel something wrong, i know i should be happy, but i know that there is something wrong........over 10 players got 745 and with one lucky shot i got 746!!.......doesnt make any sense.....i didnt do anything special.
and i still feel there was some kinda bug.......cuz i know this score will not be gotten again by any1....even me!

u know, today i found a vulnerability in STC's website, potentially allowing people to access their whole database, and mess around with it. sh*t. that could destroy the whole country's economy, everyone uses STC. it was scary. should i have asked for $$ like ransom to tell them what the vulnerability was? or should i have done what i reely did, ie, tell them like a little goody two shoes, and say "oh it would be nice if you gave me about $10 on my liberty reserve account, because here's a vuln i found"

IMAGINE THAT! but no, not a simple one, very deceptive... whatever... dont make me get into the mechanics... it looks like they use sanitized input... but in fact, it uses some other function to sanitize the inputted data, and this can be terminated with a syntax terminator like a semi colon (;). and it did get terminated by that, and this whole wierd string of charcters came out...

astar, since you support good stuff like freedom and linux (yes, i know, im smart) i recommend dont use something by some monopolist like ebay (ie paypal) but something else.
best bet would be liberty reserve. THAT IS A SECURITY FORTRESS. takes about half an hour to finish all the steps to login (username, password, pin, master password, email, all with an on screen keyboard, plus those annoying little pictures which have five numbers in a row or whatever and u have to copy them down). liberty reserve is also good because u can transfer to paypal, western union, and real cash, so many ways... paypal takes a percentage of transfers as "service fees", liberty reserve takes almost none... dont make me go on... im assuming you can use this site:

I admit I never thought about this when I announced the competition. IPanther thinks as you do. I have suggested to him that I donate $400 a year to the forum and the students can set up a board to administer the competitions as they see fit with only suggestions from me.

I think after this competition is awarded
we can have two Major competition n the award could be money while
n the best time is during winter break n summer cuz i guess student can easily log in n play rather then STUDY
whilst other competition can be awarded by reps??
n i even think there should be 3 position
oh well we can discusss that
n later make decision after consulting other members:)

I think there should also be a coursework comp since it might mean students get better grades and students themselves can find the cheats by googling bits of text and voting on the winner.

The courswork com should be mayber from jan-april when coursework is being done. It is a long way away, which leaves ti,mes for dicussion.
If people want a jokes/poetry/story comp we can have that over the next 3 months. That is my preference.
