Title: This reaaally got me THINKING!!!
Post by: iluvme on August 17, 2010, 08:07:07 pm
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY GREAT!!!!!!!

I dreamt that I went to Heaven and a Malaikat (Angel) was showing me
around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with Malaikats.
My Malaikat guide stopped in front of the first section and said, 'This
is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to Allah said in prayer are received.'
I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many
Malaikats sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and
scraps from people all over the world. Then we moved on down a long
corridor until we reached the second section. The Malaikat guide then said to me, 'This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them.'
I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many Malaikats working
hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and
were being packaged for delivery to Earth.
Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door
of a very small station. To my great surprise, only one Malaikat was seated there, idly doing nothing. 'This is the Acknowledgement Section,' my Malaikat friend
quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed. 'How is it that there's
no work going on here?' I asked.
'So sad,' the Malaikat guide sighed. 'After people receive the blessings
that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments'.
'How does one acknowledge Allah's blessings?' I asked. 'Simple,' the
Malaikat answered. 'Just say, 'Thank you, Allah'

'What blessings should they acknowledge?' I asked.
'If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof
overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world.
'If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a
dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy

Also .....
'If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, You are more
blessed than the many who will not even survive this day.

'If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of
imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, You are
ahead of 700 million people in the world.

'If you can attend a mosque meeting without the fear of harassment,
arrest, torture or death you are envied by, and more blessed than, three
billion people in the world.

'If your parents are still alive and still married, You are very rare.

If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you're
unique to all those in doubt and despair.'

Have a good day, shukur and count your blessings, and if you want, pass
this along to remind everyone else how blessed we all are.

Attention: Acknowledge Department: 'Thank You Allah! Thank you Allah,
for giving me the ability to share this message and for giving me so
many wonderful people to share it with'

tbh this really got me thinking too ...but Subhanna Allah the other day i was reading surah al a'araf ....and read this verse :

"Then I will come to them from before them and from behind them and on their right and on their left, and You will not find most of them grateful [to You]." --verse 17

and then i read this in the next page

"O children of Adam, let not Satan tempt you as he removed your parents from Paradise, stripping them of their clothing to show them their private parts. Indeed, he sees you, he and his tribe, from where you do not see them. Indeed, We have made the devils allies to those who do not believe."  ---verse 27

And i just remembered something and i srsly hope my translation is right *I will translate it cuz i only heard it in Arabic* (I'm not sure who that man was and whether i happened in Omar's being kaleefa time ,so correct me if I'm wrong)

One day a man was in the masjid in the times where Omar Ibn Ilkatab was the kaleefa . So after the prayer finished Omar (radia allahu a'anu wa ardah) was  makin sujood and he was sasyin * God make me of those lil NO.  (in arabic ija'alni min alkaleel) ...and then when he finished , the man asked him why were u sayin make me of of the lil No. ....then Omar answered him and said ..isn't in mentioned in the Quran that Only A small No of ppl thank God , so i was askin god to make me one of those lil NO.

I hope this helps explain it.

Death, is certainly a thing that every man and thing on acknowledges. It is reality, and absolutely no one can run away from it.

It has been reported that, the Prophet (sal) has said,a person may have done  the best of deeds while alive but due to one deed committed when dying, he could enter Jahannam.(i.e a very grievous offense) and another man may have spent his whole life doing wrong but due to just one good deed committed when dying he could enter Jannah.

Take a look at this, really makes you shiver and Praise the Almighty.

This email really made me think. What am I?

:: Inspiring Story ::
A Carrot, An Egg And A Cup of Coffee

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as though just as one problem was solved, a new one arose.
Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to a boil.

In the first, she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil, without saying a word.
In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl.
Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me what you see."
Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied.

Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did, and noted that they were soft.
The mother then asked the daughter to take the egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard boiled egg.

Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee.
The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich aroma.
The daughter then asked, "What does it mean, mother?"

Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently.

The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak.

The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened.

The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.

"Which are you?" she asked her daughter.
"When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?"

Think of this: Which am I?

Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?

Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, ... but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and a hardened heart?

Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you.

When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest, do you elevate yourself to another level? How do you handle adversity?

Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?

I would love to think I am the coffee. But I am not. I would be sufficiently happy to call myself an egg. But I am not that either.... So I must be a carrot. But at least, bunnies love me... :P

As for the final story lol I am the coffee bean. :P Not boosting but I went through difficult moments in my life and it is what made me a better person alhamdolilah because I treated it with patience and Allah by my side alhamdolilah!

Jazikah Allah khair sis. My respect to you. =] <3

Thank You Mony, :) Remember me in your prayers, that's all I have to ask from anybody.

Take a look at this too. Really baffling :D

A long time ago in China , a girl named Li-Li got married & went to live with her husband and mother-in-law.

In a very short time, Li-Li found that she couldn't get along with her mother-in-law at all. Their personalities were very different, and Li-Li was angered by many of her mother-in-law's habits. In addition, she criticized Li-Li constantly.
Days passed, and weeks passed. Li-Li and her mother-in-law never stopped arguing and fighting. But what made the situation even worse was that,
according to ancient Chinese tradition, Li-Li had to bow to her mother-in-law and obey her every wish. All the anger and unhappiness in the house was causing Li-Li's poor husband great distress.

Finally, Li-Li could not stand her mother-in-law's bad temper and dictatorship any longer, and she decided to do something about it. Li-Li went to see her father's good friend, Mr. Huang, who sold herbs. She told him the situation and asked if he would give her some poison so that she could solve the problem once and for all.

Mr. Huang thought for awhile, and finally said, "Li-iL, I will help you solve your problem, but you must listen to me and obey what I tell you."

Li-Li said,"Yes, Mr. Huang, I will do whatever you tell me to do. "Mr. Huang went into the back room, and returned in a few minutes with a package of herbs. He told Li-Li, "You can't use a quick-acting poison to get rid of your mother-in-law, because that would cause people to become suspicious. Therefore, I have given you a number of herbs that will slowly build up poison in her body. Every other day prepare some delicious meal and put a little of these herbs in her serving. Now, in order to make sure that nobody suspect you, when she dies, you must be very careful to act very friendly towards her. "Don't argue with her, obey her every wish, and treat her like a queen." Li-Li was so happy. She thanked Mr. Huang and hurried home to start her plot of murdering her mother-in-law.
Weeks went by, and months went by, and every other day, Li-Li served the specially treated food to her mother-in-law. She remembered what Mr. Huang had said about avoiding suspicion, so she controlled her temper, obeyed her mother-in-law, and treated her like her own mother.

After six months had passed, the whole household had changed. Li-Li had practiced controlling her temper so much that she found that she almost
never got mad or upset. She hadn't had an argument with her mother-in-law in six months because she now seemed much kinder and easier to get along with.

The mother-in-law's attitude toward Li-Li changed, and she began to love Li-Li like her own daughter. She kept telling friends and relatives that Li-Li was the best daughter-in-law one could ever find. Li-Li and her mother-in-law were now treating each other like a real mother and daughter. Li-Li's husband was very happy to see what was happening.
One day, Li-Li came to see Mr. Huang and asked for his help again She said, "Dear Mr. Huang, please help me to keep off the poison from killing my mother-in-law. She's changed into such a nice woman, and I love her like my own mother. I do not want her to die because of the poison I gave her."

Mr. Huang smiled and nodded his head. "Li-Li, there's nothing to worry about. I never gave you any poison. The herbs I gave you were vitamins to
improve her health. The only poison was in your mind and your attitude toward her, but that has been all washed away by the love which you gave to her."

InshaAllah, I'll comment on those. :)

Been busy with school. Waiting for the one month holiday for Ramadhan. :)

Here's another,

The Buddha explained how to handle insult and maintain compassion.
One day Buddha was walking through a village. A very angry and rude young man came up and began insulting him. "You have no right teaching others," he shouted. "You are as stupid as everyone else. You are nothing but a fake."

Buddha was not upset by these insults. Instead he asked the young man "Tell me, if you buy a gift for someone, and that person does not take it, to whom does the gift belong?"

The man was surprised to be asked such a strange question and answered, "It would belong to me, because I bought the gift."

The Buddha smiled and said, "That is correct. And it is exactly the same with your anger. If you become angry with me and I do not get insulted, then the anger falls back on you. You are then the only one who becomes unhappy, not me. All you have done is hurt yourself."

"If you want to stop hurting yourself, you must get rid of your anger and become loving instead. When you hate others, you yourself become unhappy. But when you love others, everyone is happy."

The young man listened closely to these wise words of the Buddha. "You are right, o Enlightened One, "he said. "Please teach me the path of love. I wish to become your follower."

A Conversation which makes you wonder where you'll stand if you are questioned.

An Atheist Professor of Philosophy speaks to his Class on the Problem Science has with ALLAH, The ALMIGHTY.
He asks one of his New Muslim Student to stand and . . .

Professor : You are a Muslim, aren't you, son ?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor : So you Believe in ALLAH ?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Professor : Is ALLAH Good ?
Student : Sure.
Professor : Is ALLAH ALL - POWERFUL ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : My Brother died of Cancer even though he Prayed to ALLAH to Heal him.
Most of us would attempt to Help Others who are ill.
But ALLAH didn't.
How is this ALLAH Good then ? Hmm ?

( Student is silent )

Professor : You can't answer, can you ?
Let's start again, Young Fella.
Is ALLAH Good ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : Is Satan good ?
Student : No.
Professor : Where does Satan come from ?
Student : From . . . ALLAH . . .
Professor : That's right.
Tell me son, is there evil in this World ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : Evil is everywhere, isn't it ?
And ALLAH did make Everything. Correct ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : So who created evil ?

( Student does not answer )

Professor : Is there Sickness ? Immorality ? Hatred ? Ugliness ?
All these terrible things exist in the World, don't they ?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor : So, who Created them ?

( Student has no answer )

Professor : Science says you have 5 Senses you use to Identify and Observe the World around you.
Tell me, son . . . Have you ever Seen ALLAH ?
Student : No, sir.
Professor : Tell us if you have ever Heard your ALLAH ?
Student : No , sir.
Professor : Have you ever Felt your ALLAH , Tasted your ALLAH , Smelt your ALLAH ?
Have you ever had any Sensory Perception of ALLAH for that matter ?
Student : No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Professor : Yet you still Believe in HIM ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your ALLAH doesn't exist.
What do you say to that, son ?
Student : Nothing. I only have my Faith .
Professor : Yes. Faith . And that is the Problem Science has.
Student : Professor, is there such a thing as Heat ?
Professor : Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as Cold ?
Professor : Yes.
Student : No sir. There isn't.

( The Lecture Theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events )

Student : Sir, you can have Lots of Heat, even More Heat, Superheat, Mega Heat, White Heat,
a Little Heat or No Heat.
But we don't have anything called Cold..
We can hit 458 Degrees below Zero which is No Heat, but we can't go any further after that.
There is no such thing as Cold.
Cold is only a Word we use to describe the Absence of Heat.
We cannot Measure Cold.
Heat is Energy.
Cold is Not the Opposite of Heat, sir, just the Absence of it.

( There is Pin - Drop Silence in the Lecture Theatre )

Student : What about Darkness, Professor ? Is there such a thing as Darkness ?
Professor : Yes. What is Night if there isn't Darkness ?
Student : You're wrong again, sir.
Darkness is the Absence of Something.
You can have Low Light, Normal Light , Bright Light, Flashing Light . . .
But if you have No Light Constantly, you have Nothing and it's called Darkness, isn't it ?
In reality, Darkness isn't.
If it is, were you would be able to make Darkness Darker, wouldn't you ?
Professor : So what is the point you are making, Young Man ?
Student : Sir, my point is your Philosophical Premise is Flawed.
Professor : Flawed ? Can you explain how ?
Student : Sir, you are working on the Premise of Duality.
You argue there is Life and then there is Death, a Good ALLAH and a Bad ALLAH .
You are viewing the Concept of ALLAH as something finite, something we can measure.
Sir, Science can't even explain a Thought.
It uses Electricity and Magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one.
To view Death as the Opposite of Life is to be ignorant of the fact that
Death cannot exist as a Substantive Thing.
Death is Not the Opposite of Life : just the Absence of it.
Now tell me, Professor, do you Teach your Students that they Evolved from a Monkey ?
Professor: If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir ?

( The Professor shakes his head with a Smile, beginning to realize where the Argument is going )

Student : Since no one has ever observed the Process of Evolution at work and
cannot even prove that this Process is an On - Going Endeavor,
are you not Teaching your Opinion, sir ?
Are you not a Scientist but a Preacher ?

( The Class is in Uproar )

Student : Is there anyone in the Class who has ever Seen the Professor's Brain ?

( The Class breaks out into Laughter )

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever Heard the Professor's Brain, Felt it, Touched or Smelt it ? . . .
No one appears to have done so..
So, according to the Established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that
you have No Brain, sir.
With all due respect, sir, how do we then Trust your Lectures, sir ?
