example:.......in protein synthesis............there r 3 enzymes involved namely helicase 4 unwinding the DNA strands, polymerase for the fromation of new strands n finally legase to seal the gaps!!
bt in the application booklet however it mentions only polymerase saying that it carries out all the functions of the tw others 2 !!!

I haven't started application based questions yet

I suppose if you can elaborate and give a brief, explanatory answer, you should score your marks..

Why don't you look up the mark schemes and check what they are looking for.

I'll get back to you soon...should be starting with the booklet in a few days :)

Have a look at the mark-scheme. The answers there are the answers that you want.

You won't lose marks if you state something relevant.

Do not boast your knowledge of biology and write something redundant.

A concise answer is what CIE looks for.

And my teacher recommends the marking scheme to be used as reference too :)

Often examiner reports can also help you in answering questions, and teach you invaluable technique.

really ahana...............its not that i want to boast my knowledge of biology..............bt i understand it better that way...................it makes it easier to understand and then explain to som1!!
there is more logic i it .....u see!

if u do biology either AS or A2..................u'll surely realise that the notes in the application have fooled u..................not all ...of course bt still a small bit  :o

hey....................thanx 4 z advice both of u  :)

U helped me clear some doubts in my mind...................both the examinator's report and the marking scheme are my good friends from now on ;D
