Hi everyone, again. And thanks for the warmmmm welcome.
...While we're at it, anyone prepping for exams now? (I'm prepping for IB prelims, like I said, before the actual exams.)
-
I give A2 in november
-
I give A2 in november
A2? Good luck for that! Mine's in November too. I'm just having preliminary exams in 2 day's time...T.T
-
oh man! Good Luck then!
We just started with A2...we still have the entire portion to complete in 3 months -__-
You're from Singapore?
I plan to join NUS after A2. :-\
-
Yup, from Singapore. Good luck with er, A2 (whut? ><)!!
I want to go to NUS, but the cut-off point for getting into their Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) is incredulously high (at least for me), it's 37 points min. T.T
-
loool....CIE? ::) A2? :P Nvm :P
Yeah but i gave my igz- 7A*s and 1A ...so evn if I don't do as well...i hope to get in with my ig grades...and if they look at co-curriculars :-\
-
qwijdjf that's amazing. T.T
A2, A levels...? I know CIE, a little.
I never went through A levels, so yeah I don't know much about it.
IG = IGCSE? If so, I didn't do as well as you did. xD I'm just a lazyyyyyy bum who didn't bother to study properly.
-
yeah A levels :D
IGCSE yup...
I didn't study that well for AS :-\
-
A levels are...hard. -.- IMO. I hear from my friends A levels is hard, but they laughed at me and said, "HAHA IN YOUR FACE 'CAUSE IB IS HARDER" and I was like, :(
I guess in a sense it is harder because of how you have to juggle work and outside and timetable (which sucks for me). Lessons begin officially at 9 and I always end around 4.30 latest. Luckily it's Singapore, so traveling time between home and school is just about a 20 min drive by car.
Just curious, where are you from? Why NUS? o.o
-
Yeah they're hard... :(
School starts at 7 and ends at 2.30 -_-
I'm from Mumbai, India...NUS cause singapore's safe and also close to India and NUS has a reputation
-
Ah I see. It's pretty close, definitely! It'll make traveling back and forth a little easier too. In addition, it isn't as hot in Singapore as compared to India. ;) And definitely, an ideal place to study is Singapore...That I couldn't agree more.
But my true goal is to study in Japan, but that seems toooo far away since there probably isn't enough funds for me. T.T I'd have to settle for Singapore, which in monetary terms is much better since I'm Singaporean.
Wish you success in getting into NUS! :D
-
Yup it's boiling here!!!
Japan is expensive ...it is the epicenter of technology and inventions...so if you plan to do anything with regards to tech, you will have to pay a good sum..
Thanks tho....and wish you the same ;)
-
Quite the contrary, I completely fail at Math and Sciences.
I actually want to go there for Japanese Studies. I could do it in NUS as well, but what if I can't make it for the cut-off mark? After all, they're being bitchy towards IB students, for some weird reason. My whole goal in life is to pursue languages, really, and nothing much else. I'd become a translator...! Or work as a language teacher. That could work as well.
-
Wow that sounds cool ;)
I can pray for you and wish you luck :) Hope you shine in your studies :)
-
Thank you!
And look now, it's going tomorrow soon...well, I'd better be off studying. :D Thanks for the luck!
-
Hey Good Luck! :D :D
