The definitions work perfectly for CIE and edexcel. Trust me ;)
Plus they got AS and A2 definitions. So its all in one :)

It's the energy converted from chemical form to electrical potential energy per coulomb of charge flowing through the source.

hey is there any difference 4 d definition in AS and IGCSE because i think its the same definition

EMF is the energy supplied when there is no internal resistance, that is the A-Level definition.....
In IGCSE, it is vaguely described as the maximum "push" of a battery or a cell.
