Hey has anyone done enzyme related praciticals? if yes then plz tell me what happens in it.
-
Any1?
-
See the only problem with ure post is that u didnt give us an example so we can explain it. If you just mention an experiment , I would be glad to help :D
-
Usually it's breakdown of H2O2 using catalase. Either enzyme or substrate conc is varied....and then you note the bubbles per min or measure the volume of gas evolved per min.
-
Hey nid Thanks.. buh can u give me any example frm paper... iv heard catalase is coming in practical.
-
yup you got that right :P
I'll have to browse through the papers...I'll look though
-
Ahan Thanks a lot.............
-
really catalase is coming ? guys u know if blood cells or the gas exchange system are coming?
-
Wat? blood cells? no no no... v cant even see thm. lol
-
lol u haven't seen any pictures of red blood cells or lymphocytes b4? :D
-
obviously i hav buh u cant c thm in a light microscope...
-
dude sry my bad , how can I miss this :D
-
So any hints about practicals.
Anyway.
I wanted to know the answers to these questions:
What are your sources of error in enzyme catalysed reactions.
And how would you improve the experiment (:
Thank you in advancee

o.0 Of course you can. You must have some wacko teachers.
-
you cant see red blood cell...
-
you cant see red blood cell...
You can. You can see platelets, all kinds of WBCs too. Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's true. When you light microscope can spot a nucleus and even the mitochondria, how the hell can't it spot RBC which is7 times an average mitochondrion's size? See the logic.
