so hw was the unit 1 physics paper ..... only say hard or easy dont discuss until 24 hrs due to timezones....

InshaAllah 6PH02 will be easy and the threshold for 6PH01 would be low.......

Yep. There is if you're doing full A2. If you're just doing AS then you won't get an A* this year. Next year if you score a 240 this year and a 270 next year.

I actually have a few doubts:
1. In the second last part of the last question, how did u prove that the maximum speed was between 100 and 150... Do you draw a tangent or something??
2. In the Hooke's Law question, they say the value of k is approximately 20, but the closest value im gettin is 16... And then I used the same value of k to calculate everything else....Is that right??
3. In the MCQs, the last one - Ductile can also be called hard, rite??
Sm1 anwer me, I'd appreciate it.....

There is an A* but only at the end of the two year Edexcel course.
You need to get 90%+ in your UMS.

2- i got it as you 16
3 -it's malleable

I got something like 15, which is also in range.
The paper took time to get used to.

how was the shape of the graph..... i drew the tangent and wrote down the points but did not write the final answer because of time.......
in the hookes law question i go 15 wat was the force and then the next question???
and wat was the tensions angle???
and the first question in which they asked the ht.. for the insect thingy???

This paper was very tough.I may fail.Can any intelligent person check my answers:
Q11 ) The right side of the wing had laminar flow and the left side of point A has turbulent flow
Q12 )The vertical distance travelled by the bubble was 0.567m
And for the question which asks you to show the value for acceleration is 2.Will you get marks if you used the acceleration as 2 for the next parts of the question(I never succeeded in showing the values except for viscousity lol)

YES THERE IS A* BUT NOT FOR AS. FOR A* YOU HAVE TO GET AT LEAST 480/600 IN TOTAL 6 UNIT AND 270/300(90%) IN A2 PART(4,5,8 UNIT)

THERE IS A GOOD POSSIBILITY THAT YOU WILL GET AN "A" BECAUSE IN JAN 2010(UNIT 1) "A" WAS GIVEN FOR 53/60 AND IN JUNE 2009 59/80.THIS PAPER WAS DEFINITELY HARDER THAN JUNE2009.
