heyyy guys so how was ur paper 31 i guess its past 24 hours so v cud discuss it now??
-
What did you get for the gradient and y-intercept (with units please) ?
M was the gradient and L was the y-intercept, wasn't it ?
-
I got gradient as 0.3 and y intercept as 0.005
-
i got the M = 0.443
And my L = -4.3 x 10^3
My y-intercept fit the theoretical value for semi-conductor diode, so Im feeling happy

What was the unit of the gradient ??
By the way, the L cannot be negative since that there was a plus sign before it !!
I got the gradient as 3.53 "AOhm" and the y-intercept as 0.0034 A.

Which paper is this? :O I'm doing the paper where the 1st question involved a semi-conductor diode and the 2nd question involved measuring the velocity of a ball through an oil medium

Sorry my bad. I took a different paper :D .
The first question had 12 resistors and a power source. The second involved oscillations of two hollow tubes.
For anyone who wants to discuss it with me, I took paper 31 :) .

Oh, thank God XD
That question seems hard though. Ours just basically asked us to connect a circuit with a diode, a voltmeter and ammeter. Then we just adjust the power supply and read off the voltmeter and ammeter. :-X

got a similar gradient like urs mine was 3.66Aohm and my y intercept was 0.0043A

wat abt the values of the tube lengths....1st one was 5.71cm and the 2nd was 24.8cm
and both my k vr different so tht equation doesnt show the relation ryt

I think they have used different tubes since the small tube i had was 4.99 cm and yes they were not proportional.
Did you take two values for I and V ??
I took two values for I but only one for V :S !
-
AOhm ??? Thats Volts dude, V = IR remember?
-
My tube lengths were 3.58 and 25.05.Gradient was 4.68 and intercept 0.002
-
ma gradient waz 4.686 but ma y-intercept waz zero!!!!

yep i did dat ppr variant 33
wt did u get as the gradient ???
-
is this edexcel or cie? ???
-
CIE
-
just to tell u dudes ur doin igs rite???
i still didnt do my physics pp3
isnt dat wht ur talkin bout???????
