I would like to know how can i get an A*
For example ....in Accounting,,,,do i need to get an A in both Paper 1 and 2 or it doesnt matter
Any why in the Grade thresholds of each year ..they dont show the minimum mark for A* , B , D !!!
it is usually written like this:
The threshold (minimum mark) for B is set halfway between those for Grades A and C. The
threshold (minimum mark) for D is set halfway between those for Grades C and E. The
threshold (minimum mark) for G is set as many marks below the F threshold as the E
threshold is above it. Grade A* does not exist at the level of an individual component.

People here say that u need to be one of the best 10% who took the test.
However all my friends are saying no u only need to get a good grade, and whenever i ask someone from last year's exams, he says he got an A* so how come EVERYONE is from that 10 % ;D
But i dunno man :P And noone knows how is it gonna be this year to get a A,B,C (threshold)

people say 10 % because on your statement of results you get a percentage along with your grade... and whoever gets an A* gets 90% or more written... whoever gets an A .. get an 80% or more.
however this is not your percentage or percantile.... the cie website says that 90% is the lowest possible A*.... 89% is the highest possible A....
what that basically means is that cie does have a grade boundary for an A* but they dont release it :(
