examples in the sense where it is used 
n examples evn for rachet n pawl ,crank n slider mechanism!!!

i did this last year, hope i remember..:P

so for cam and follower, the eccentric cam with follower is used in toys, the snail cam with follower is used where u need a sudden drop umm cant think of any app ryt now, anyways crank and slider is used in door handles, pedal bins(dustbins)....rachet and pawl used in spanners, winder where u need rotation only in one direction...

By the way our teacher gave us this site for reference last time during our IGs:
