Title: HOW TO SCORE 90% and above in a lvl?

well, since the gt is rising, i think we need to secure our "A" by scoring 90% at least,than 80% in the past...but how can we make it? Practice a lot does not improve my performance cos my grade for most subject still stay below 90%.

Pls help, The AS exam is coming less than 1 month from now...I'm damn worry....

U r wht u r. U cant it change no matter hw much u practice or try. Thers always some1 who wont work as hard as u but wuld still get better grades than u. So be happy with urself and dnt worry.

no man, i am a strong believer that you will do good in anything as long as you love it, if you love doing it then you will  be top in it, bill gates is not a genius but einstein was, but bill gates loved computers, and obviously you can see the bill gates has a better life the einstein had... he is not a genius but he is living happy.

you might not achive great academical grades but you will succeed in the field you love, the more you love it the better your grades will be at it, even if you suck at it.

Hey - here's is the deal - anyone can get an All A’s OK! I used to fail every subject 3 years ago – I thought I was dumb... But I Changed myself - I tried to enjoy studying the subjects I had - I tried to go to the core of detail and master every damn chapter of all my books - I also Practiced like hell. I was bloody hard for me as I had missed out a lot in the previous years so my foundation was weak - but with some guidance and working 20 hrs-a-day... Believe it or not... I got 12 A-Stars in my IGCSEs and 5 As in my A-Levels.

Everybody can do it - it's just a matter of determination, dedication, hard work (a good work ethic) and smart work (a good working strategy). I agree, only practice will not get you there its a combination that gets you to World-class Quality.

Here's a Helpful Tip: In your case, every time you practice a past year paper or anything - mark it using the mark schemes and divide up your mistakes into 3 groups:
1. Careless Mistakes - You made a silly mistake :D
2. Knowledge Mistakes - You actually didn't know or remember the theory matter
3. Inference/Understanding Mistake - You didn't Understand the question - what the examiner actually wants from you.
I used to be careless about work, but the day I realised it’s worth working hard and getting good grades, or else I wouldn’t have a good career and life, as I would regret my whole life…
So I changed my life – You can too…. anyone can…

Thats the best tip i have ever got in my academic life. I have been thinking of some way of improving my own marking ways...and now i have finally found a way!!!

Which country u from?? Dude which subjects did you do in A levels??  Did you do CIE...?? Which school were u in??
Your critical thinking skills must be AMAZING, since u got all As  ;D
CIE exams need skills like that, be it any subject...
Did u have many good teachers helping u?? How did u manage practicals in Physics and Chemistry. Please tell me how u prepared for A level Maths, Physics and Chemistry (i.e. if did any of these subjects)

It seems CIE really influences students as i can see a difference in myself as well. I used to be weak at solving any maths equation and now that i'm doing A level Maths...i rock at it, its exhilarating!!!

!!!!!!Did u know a pakistani A level student recently made history by getting 23 "A"s in 23 A level subjects!!!!!!

And if u read about him (www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1132200/The-boy-set-getting-Cambridge-got-22-A-levels.html (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1132200/The-boy-set-getting-Cambridge-got-22-A-levels.html)) you will see that even he claimed himself to be below average before doing CIE!!

dude this is CIE there are over 50 subjects.
But don't u think doing 23 A level subjects in a span of 1 year is something worth going in the guinness world record??

I dont think so majid. Just like I said ur wht ur. Shaxter had this excellent result not bcauz he is a genius but only he worked hard and went through it systematically. If he was one, he neednt have worked this hard to get back on his track.

But I have seen some kids who has the same result (as Shaxter) or evn better by not working hard but becauz they r really talented. So u can never really outsmart them no matter hw much u put ur efforts into sth. U can obviously get better by learning and practicing but theres always a limit to that. U have to accept the truth. Bcauz Allah didnt send u to this world with evrything. Thats why we see only a few Einsteins and Hawkins. So, I say genius is an innate gift and rarely acquired.

And I thght I banned u, who let u in ??

I want to know if i should divide up my mistakes into 3 groups for every question in a single paper, or do it for the entire paper?? Which makes more sense to do?? Please do give more tips!!

I think it shuld be for evry single ques then u can get into more details and learn much more from ur mistakes.

He didnt get 22 As. As far as I remember he got 18 As and the rest B and C s.
