Food tests:
-Test for Starch:
Food + iodine sol’n = yellowish brown --> blue black
-Test for reducing sugar:
Food + Benedict’s sol’n = clear blue --> brick red (r for reducing sugar)
Note: Benect is long, reducing sugar is also long word, so long and long to together.
-Test for protein:
Food + Biuret’s sol’n (naOH + CuSO4) = blue --> purple (p for protein)
Note: protein is short, biuret is short word, so short and short go together.
-Test for Lipid:
(Food + ethanol) + water = cloudy white emulsion
-Test for vitamin C:
Food + DCPIP = blue --> colorless
Note: The less the time to decolorize, the more vit C the food contains
-
Good Luck!
-
well woooow thanks guyz i really liked ur results and thanks dudes and special thanks for moonlyte :D

All i know is that its a blue dye...its written in my book (I study in Choueifat).....so we dont really have to know what is its full form...we just have to know its a blue dye that is used to test for vit. C

Thanx for the Enzymes & Food Test thingy, guys! :D
-
dichlorophenolindophenol...i can never memorize this in my entire lifetime!!!
