the answer i keep getting is A :S

Young= (F/A)/(delta L /L) we can also rite this Y=FL/Adelta L
lets consider P
Y = F_pL/Adelta L
now Q
Y= F2L/(a/2 x delta l )
so Y= F_q4L/A delta L rite

now equate them
F_pL/Adelta L=F_q4L/A delta L

---

F_pL/A=F_q4L/A
F_p/F_q = 4/1
