Guys I'd like to remind you that no exam discussion is allowed before 24 hours has passed on the paper. Everything is being monitored by CIE, and details will be given to them if we're asked.
Thanks for your co-operation. ;)
-
dont worry we wont get deep into question discussion :)
just askin how did everyone do ^^
-
CIE asked us to stop any kind of discussions .. whether you're posting questions or saying question 3 was hard .. they don't want anything.
We don't want the forums closed down ;)

I CAN'T wait until 24 hours is over. 11 hours to go until I get to talk about it.
My mouth is itching!!!
-
I don't really feel great aboyt it :(
Hope the curve is low.

It's over 24 hours since I took the paper, so we can talk about it, right?
How did you calculate the proportional cell number for question number 2?

I am curious about this either!! I even forgot the paper already by now ::)

Didn't feel bad about it.
Um...do you mean that question where you had to put in the value in the table?
-
Hmm... No, I don't think so. It's the question where certain amino acids were given to 2000-3000 rat cells.
It says that on the 6th day, 5 cells were taken and the proportional cell number was calculated. How was it calculated??
I couldn't understand the question and how they did the experiment...
(By the way, are you CIE or Edexcel?)
-
what i did was,
count the number of cells after giving the amino acid, subtract it from the original number. Then dvde the answer by the original number of cells.
kind of like . (final - initial)/initial

I had no idea what method they were using. It said that they took 5 cells and from each concentration and from each type of amino acid. Doesn't that mean that they took 5x10x2 cells? How exactly did they count the number of cells?
