Which group is more important to you? Justify your chosen option.

For me- it's a tough decision.
I love my family, like most people do, but at the same time I truly love my friends.
Deciding between them may be easy, well for me at least, but life without one or the other would be impossible.
I'd say my family.
Your family will be the only ones who would stand besides you throughout your lifetime, they would forever support you, and even make you of more importance than themselves.
Im mainly talking about my parents.
You friends, doesn't matter how close you are to them, have their own lives. They would support you, help you, be there for you when you need them, but there's a point that it comes to, where that friend needs to live their own life, where their kids, or their family is of more importance to them than their friends.
The usual question - "If your mum/sister and your best friend was drowing, and you could only save one, who would you choose?"
This is a typical "who do you love more" question. It's difficult, you want both to survive- but if you can only choose one, Im sure most of you would choose your family. Anyways- I would. It would kill me inside to have lost a friend, but my family would be their to console me, and make me understand that life goes on.

I'll chose my family. I have few friends in real life. My friends are always temporary. Have no idea where my childhood friends are... ::) I don't even have any contact with my friends of 2 years back.
But, family is permanent.

This is very difficult.
Our family, as alpha rightly said, makes us and gives us the friends we have.

my family will always stand by me .. my friends 'my best ones' will also always stand by me .. we all support each other .. but if i had to choose .. i'd say family of course! ;)

i have totally lost contact with most of them . once they were the people i couldn't breath without and now no more existence in my life !

since i realise that they are ready to sacrifice their joy and pleasures for my happiness.....
friends they provide joy but they limit only for a time period.....so time passess firends will also change

i prefer family cuz they r the only ones who tell me my bad habits in a nice way , they never insult me , they love me , they value me , they treat me as i am the world to them , they miss me when we get separated......i simply can never get them out of my heart even if distance or death kept us apart .
i didn't choose friends , cuz they can never do anything of what is mentioned above cuz they have their own lives and families that they care abt hence u'll always be an option in a friend's life but a priority in a sibling's life

i find friends to be a part of time..... as time passes so frriends also change we make new ones as well as some of them also change.........but family stays the same they stik to u.....

Well tough decision... but in the end i'd choose my family...
but there's one special friend i have....
she's 21 days older than me :D... we became friends when i was 1 day old... we still are the best of friend...more like sisters after nearly 17 years :D...
we have pictures of when we were born... one of them has both of us....
really i regard her more as my sister than my friend..
i know what she's thinking by looking at her..and she's the same 4 me...
really nothing..and i mean nothing can separate us...

i just have this question......
for orphans who is their family and who is their friends.....
this question has always murdered me thinking about my parents and the mistakes i have done with them 3 yrs bak.......when my firend said to me i am more priveleged to have 2 people when he doesn't have none...........

Your family can be your friend and your friend can be your family...what matters is that they're there for you and you are equally there for them...i love both

this is just to keep this thread going.....
don't u guys feel at times family can be strict like ur mom sayin wear this type of dress i mean till a particular age .... u can't walk the style which u want.....
like i don't like to cut my hair unless and untill it is really annoyin she considers it as style or shave my beard unless it starts to get messy..... she interprets all this as style .

Family doesnt understand me as friends do, family is full of complications in relationships and whatnot, friends are simpler
but still, at the end of the day, blood is thicker than water, when i get in trouble it will be my blood that i will go to not my friends, whom change over the years, unlike family

no doubt when u r standing between choosing ur family or friend, always u would be in loss on both the sides.
no matter whomever u chose u would be lost in between.
but if ever a circumstance comes were i have to choose i would choose my family

FAM....i met my fam 1st in life...the people who brot me up in life...raised me to that level wich i reached i then bcame capable of choosin the other ppl fr me..my friends!!
family..i agree wt most of the points roxy's said...but 1more important thing is wel me and my best friend we're so close so close that she wud understand y i chose fam..she wud always kno hw dificult that kind of a decision wud b fr me...instead of seein me in that tough a position shed jst wan me to save my fam...n ask me to let go of her!!! i mean the thing last i wud evr b able to stand is sein any of my important ppl goin thru sum dificulty cz of me!! n when its b/w ur mere life and them..its always ofcourse em!!

Friends understand better...agreed. But I'm one with few friends, so I always share stuff with my mom, who's more like a friend.She understands.....well most of the times...and sometimes she just can't -__- But I still love my family....
And I love my friends too.....very few I have...I wish they keep in touch with me ahead in life... :)
