45) Produce a new report from all the data which:
• shows a summary of only the Country, Product and Stock fields
• performs a count of the number of Products for each Country
• calculates the sum of the number of items in Stock for each Country
• only reports where Products number more than 3
How do i do the second one as when i click on count of j7stock(or whatever)in 2003 access its gives me '1s' intead of adding all the '1s' together for each country!
Moderators please don't delete this as no one is responding in the ICT thread for help so i might as well try my luck outside the thread,considering that i have my boards on monday,i hope you understand the urgency of my doubts! :) Thanks

okay..people...Nobody is the ICT master.....

Answers......
First do the 4th step..In criteria (while you do Query) add
">3"
1th step Do the query, when you are doing the query, you take only these fields Country, Product and Stock and also you don't select the DETAIL option...you select summery option!
2nd & 3rd step you will see an option to calculate sum of a field and also in the bottom right corner of that table, you will see an option "Count records in TABLE NAME"

I GOT IT!!! ;D :D :)
1)i used to get 1's before but you gotta, make a noraml query with wizard,then you gotta click on the total button(looks like a weird kinda E)a row will appear there u gotta leave country as 'group by' and change the other 2 to sum and count(what eva u is required),checked with the MS ,its right!

check carefully for the e-mail address you sent to, often that's the mistake...
else, not to worry if you don't get reply from them for 2-3 minutes.. the teacher will give you files required for the exam as long as they have seen that you have done everything correct and that it is not working. If there is a mistake by you, they will give you files to start with and write in exam notes that you failed to get files and were given them.
