Title: PLEASE HELPME ON THIS FURTHER MATHS QUESTION(MECHANICS)
Post by: sahrhp on April 16, 2010, 06:15:00 am
this is a momentum question

i have done it this far
u has two components
let them be
i= u x
j= u y       then (x2 + y2 )1/2 = 1

so w = uxi + e2 uyj

the to calculate the magnetude of w in terms of u

w =  ((ux)2 + (e2 uy)2 )1/2

and i shuffle through this but cannot get the right answer out

plz help me out and tell me where i have gone wrong.
