The pipeline is known to run north-south for a long distance through the
point with position vector 6i km


This means that it passes through 6i and also it passes through it in a north south direction, and this it will pass through the point 6j, and thus, as the pipeline is south west of him, he is higher up than the pipeline, and this 6j+2j=8j
