Title: Really bone question - sorry!
Post by: ivrytwr3 on April 02, 2010, 11:57:52 am
OK, i'm a back to school adult and after a weeks intense course am about to sit IGCSE Math exams.  But, i have a really simple question i hope somoene can answer:

When the exam paper states "Give the answer to 3 significant figures, or if degrees, to one decimal place" - does this mean:

a.  Each part of your working out is rounded

or

b.  The overall answer is rounded?

Sorry  :-[
