When i try to log on using IE8 I receive a message from the forum saying:
Sorry Ari Ben Canaan, you have been banned from using this forum.
Whats up with that ? I m using chrome right now...
-
Does your IP address change when you are using Internet Explorer from the one you using in google chrome?
If that's even possible this might mean that you got trapped with a banned member's IP address.
-
How do I check/determine whether my IP adress changes when i use IE ?
Please help.
-
This link shows your IP http://whatismyipaddress.com/ (do not post your IP in public)
but I can see your IP address. I dont know, you are not there in the ban list.
I will ask Astar maybe.
-
Think if has triggereee a ban using a banned ip

What do u mean ?

Think if has triggereee a ban using a banned ip
Yes I think the same.
Meaning that when we banned a person on his IP address, your IP was similar to his, so you also got banned.
I tracked you, but you had many members having the same IP as you. I will look for which one of them is banned and ill not ban on IP address. I will just try.

Open command prompt.
Type "ipconfig /release". Press enter. Then try logging in whenever the problem occurs.
-
uhm no. you dont have a different IP address when you use a different browser.
ur banned on IE because its storing a cookie saying ur banned.
meaning u logged into a banned account.. :o
careful now... :-X

Hey peoples the problem still persists. I need help quick.
I tried your IPconfig/relealse thingy but it doesnt work.
Whos the guy with the same IP as me ? At least place an unblock on me for the time being, I keep having to go to the internet cafe (thats where I am now) to post on SF.
-
Simply dont use IE, use firefox instead.
-
Oh sorry, there was a mistake.
Type "ipconfig /release" (without the quotes, on the command line by itself).
Type "ipconfig /renew" (without the quotes, on the command line by itself).
This will change your IP automatically
-
actually, that will simply see if the ip has changed, but well, u can try using a proxy.
But the renew shud work, cud u previously log onto here with IE8 b4?
-
Yes please you guys try fixing the problem I am not an expert in tech like you. ::)
if there is anything I can do, just let me know.

OR go to your router settings, click on broadband connection > disconnect > then connect again. thats how i used to d/l off rapidshare

LOL same here
often i hack it with skip screen
and often I simply use another software
but my last resort is dat.
-
I think the cause of this problem is because I switched from firefox to IE recently. I am back to using firefox now.
Everything seems good.

sometime back i opened up sf and it said

I think you were cheating...
LOL. Do not accuse.
We'll investigate.
IPs can be shared.

All the SF ppl im new at this so i got questions...u noe how in the rules it said tht after 24 hours of the exam they said tht v could discuss...the 24hours refers to both us and the other person or only them...cuz i was asking a question n one of u guys said "v r watching"i thought u could discuss ...so basically i dont get the rules ryt ...can u or not?
-
It must be 24 hours after the examination for both you and the person you are discussing with.
Only after this time period can you start to discuss questions. After 24 hours you will have finished the exam already, hence no cheating can take place.
I said that ''we are watching' to send a message to anyone atempting to pass on info to you.
If you have not done the exam yet and you attempt to gain information regarding certain question you will be banned.
-
