Can anyone share his/her solved paper 5; the design paper....I've missed out on the classes regarding them and have no idea what to especially with error bars and the question related to it. I would be grateful if anyone helps me out

Common ppl , 32 views and not a single reply...be courteous

@The so called DUDE ; What do u mean be polite, I was asking whether he had done it or not....Neither was i insulting nor criticising astar. Astarmathandphysics is a a respected member of the forum who has helped thousands of students and I commend his efforts. Its ppl like u who i dont get and whts this "Oi" ? Are u another one of those senseless imbeciles who write faster than they think and yet have no iota of whts happening in the first place.

well, srry, it sounded more like a command, than a kind request for information.

Hey.. I'll scan a paper I did in class for you.. My writing is very very messy though.
My scanner is giving errors.
The Working scanner is in my father's room (who just returned from a 17 hr duty as he was on-call); but I'll still try to upload within this hour.
-
Dude is also a v good member and people should not fly off the handle.
-
I am uploading (from 50 mins now, lmao). Just wait.
-
Finally, done.

Mind the hand writing. I did it in class in a rush.
The answers are in green, red - comments, blue - teacher's answers, black - comments.
The q1 is from jun 09, and q2, from nov 08.
Q1 our teacher actually showed where you get marks by putting stuff like M1, etc - next to each point. So check it out, with the ms.
Good Luck... I need to start doing papers myself..

i understand error bars and how to get the error ithe gradient. what i dont know how to do is get the error in other things .. like for ex nov 08 q2.d .. and they dont even have the answer in the mark scheme what do i do ?

Just under 15 hours til exam....I hate this so much...too much error rubbish -.-

I LOVE ERRORS! ;D
i love all the math parts. the physics parts... notsomuch :(

they do tell you how to do it in the markscheme.. :-\
e/m from your gradient - e/m from worst acceptable line gradient
personally i would've done this by calculating the percentage error of the gradient, which is equal to the % error in e/m, then multiplying it by whatever value i got for e/m. ;D

What other way is there? =/

What other way is there? =/
according to the markscheme,
e/m from your gradient - e/m from worst acceptable line gradient

Ahhh ok gotcha, thanks :D
I'm still worried to death....I think right now I'm on the borderline of an A so i really have to do well in this paper....
