Title: Retaking a year in 6th form

im not sure if this has been discussed already but i looked and couldnt find anything

im doing my second attempt at year 12 cause i fucked it up first time round
will it affect my chances of getting into uni? and if so, to what extent?

it will, to quite a large extent too. Loads of reasons behind it.

General opinion seems to be that it will. Most unis will ignore one retake but if you retake a year, you should change your subjects. Then it will not affect you at all.

its quite annoying though... i didnt exactly fail the first time - i got CDD, but theres loads of reasons as to why i chose to resit the year
but i guess when applying to uni i cant explain that to them lol
