After the new change in rules with A levels adding A -star to its resutls how hard do u think it will be...............really scaring......me out...........and secondly i have heard that oct/nov papers are harder is it true............third....i feel that in oct/nov since there are less people its easier to score..........could it be true............
-
point 1...there's no A* in A level and A is the highest grade which is apparently difficult to get according to ppl. depends from person to person acc
I don't find much diff in the nov and june papers
-
no ,....... A* has been introduced in A levels ..
chick this out : http://www.cie.org.uk/news/features/detail?feature_id=20743

There is now as a matter of fact. You get this grade at the end of A level, if both of ur AS and A2 grades were above or equal to 90 percent.
-
no man if i am not wrong u require an A in AS and 90% up A in A2 for an A*
-
yes you need an A in AS and an A in A2 in the subject with a total of 550 out of 600 to get an A*
-
You require 95% least in both AS and A2 exams to get an A* in A-Levels.
-
i hav bigger problems than that...my math paper has been postponed so i dont hav any idea when it will take place or will it take place at all. does anyone know???
-
contact the british council in your country
-
the A* does not apply to international students >:(
-
Why does it has to be this difficult to get A ?? They should have made it so difficult to get A in IGCSE as everything is easy . but in AS things are pretty HARD so they should have some MERCY on us ? Not everyone is perfect .
-
A*s depend on thresholds too.

i think it probably is.. i mean, it's an international qualification so. :-\
-
i have a quick question would it make a difference if i take as in january and take the certificate of as then take a lvl in june and take a certificate of a level cuz if i done a level straight i will only get the a lvl certificate so would any university care about that?
-
Get your AS grades. Contact a university. Give then your predicted A2 grades and they'll make you a deal.
Good luck.
-
yes a* is der for international students as wel
all teachers in our school did get a circular informing dem abt this
but it is onli available for A-levels not AS
so if u r doin as n a2 separately u cannot get a star

what, really?
can't you get it after they combine your AS and A2 grades? :-\
-
I think they go by order of percentage. Like how many % of A*s they want for a particular subject. Well, like L.I.F.E said, contact the British Council of your country as it would be in more detail :)

seriously?? what makes doing as and a2 separately or not matters?? pfft

What I know is, is that you get an A* after your combined result of AS & A2.
There is no A* in AS.
Your A LEVEL (i.e. AS + A2 combined) result will have A*'s (if you deserve them ofcourse).
