Title: IGCSE vs. GCSE
Post by: Saladin on September 05, 2009, 12:54:36 am
What is the difference and is any one of the two of more advantageous? Like how would a person having IG be better than a person with GCSE having the same grades?? I would especially like astar to answer this Q as he has in-depth knowledge.

Anyone who compares GCSE and IGCSE will realise IGCSE is much harder. UK unis say they are the same. People should be frank when they see a porkie (ie a lie).

IG is standing in the bottom right corner of da screen, it pounces like a leopard.

GCSE moving like a snake to avoid conflict.

Pow, IG jabs

Shwwo, GCSE moves.

IG kicks, damn, right in the !@#$%$

IGCSE wins striking out even the next few generations of GCSE, if there ever be any.....

IGCSE is harder. It differs from GCSE as it's taught in all the countries (international) while GCSE is only in the UK as master said

HAHAHAHAH The dude!!

What do you guys mean by "harder"?
Syllabus or Examination?

Because, GCSE has everything that IGCSE offers in addition of another few chapters. GCSE has more material to cover. I'm not sure of how the exam is though.

What makes you think that GCSE is only in UK  :-X? I'm in Bahrain at the moment and there are UK based schools here that offer GCSE instead of IGCSE.

It's a common misconception that GCSE is not offered in any other place other than UK...GCSE is offered in a lot schools all over the world but it's roots come from UK...
Just like how my cousins are doing CBSE in Moscow...C.B.S.E is the Central board of India like G.C.S.E in the UK but a lot many schools abroad offer CBSE
