my teacher gave me a look at the Edexcel papers.. The things taught in Edexcel are less in depth according to my teachers and its a much easier stream. When I saw the AS level edexcel papers, i understood every single question in it.. n tats with IG knowledge. but i think the A2 part of it makes it a complicated stream. but overall edexcel compared to CIE is much easier. but if ur going into engineering n need the maths. Better take CIE maths. tats all i can say. i dont know much but tats about it. Gud luck to you!
