i think islam beliefs and practices by yasmin malik. its really the only book thats of any use for edexcel students since all other books have material exclusively 4 cambridge.

Yes for edexel ISLAMIC BELIEFS AND PRACTISES BY YASMIN MALIK is first preference
However u could also use ISLAMIYAT BY FARKHANDA NOOR MUHAMMAD.

She teaches very well.. :)
but her book is not 100% correct..the ayats in references are not always correct.
i suggest you read Farkhanda Noor

but I think my bros book is the best.. its not yet published but it has questions and answers to expected questions.. under the notes of Sir Muzammil Mahmood (watever the spellings are :P )  any way I always rote them and get full marks :)

There are 2 sections in ISL. paper
In first one u have surahs, hadiths and ayats
surahs u can prepare from Farkhanda Noor Muhammad except surah-al-asr
and don't prepare hadiths and ayats from any book its better you prepare it from your teachers notes if u don't have that then i can provide u with it.
In section two u have seerah of MUHAMMAD (S.A.W.S) which u can prepare from ISLAM BELIEFS AND TEACHINGS by GHULAM SARWAR.

I prepared like this last year and i got an "A".
