hi, as we need to choose subjects for next yr, i have a ques. about math. if i want to go into the medical field should i take edexcel rather than camb. math. do i even need to take math. and wat are additional math, pure math. any help would be appreciated. Thanks
-
Take cambridge. It is a better a level. Edexcel is too easy.
-
Yes take IGCSE cambridge and Edexcel A-Level
-
Definitely - you should go for IGCSE Camb. Maths - its of a respectably hard level - but not too hard.
Add maths is like if you're reallll good then go for it - but its not necessary. Its tougher and advanced though.
And you need to worry about pure maths, statistics and all in A-levels!
-
well, im not a very strong student in maths, just avg. i was predicted a B for IG, i dont know wat ill get. with this predicted mark will i be able to perform well in camb.? so u guys r saying math is still necessary even for med.
Thanks for ur ongoing help.

CIE Math is okay, it's not that hard you can get an A if you worked hard, and began solving past papers
-
hmm winnie101 ... u;ve completed ur IGCSE right ?
u r asking for wat to take in A levels ?
if yes than for medical fields its better u take edexcel...its easier nd u being an avg student ...u will get an ! in edexcel A level Maths .

go for CIE A level pure maths...i've started with it and the level is mediocre. Hence i also chose further maths which is pretty tough. Along with pure maths u take either statistics or mechanics. I suggest u do mechanics cuz it's interesting and easier as compared with statistics(which may not even be as useful if u want to get into medicine)

totally agree...statistics is surely not useful...
