But you have to buy as many books as is necessary to get the right amount of information. you need to go through the reference list provided in the CIE website and then chack those books out in the market and then decide for yourself. I'm new to this whole a-level thingy myself. :]

hey guys I know this sounds like suicide.. But I'm studying for the AS levels alone for the october/november sessions.. You guys tihnk taking 3 or 4 subjects at once at that time wud be suicide or just stupid? Cause I've already completed the Chemistry portions but what's left are the Physics and Biology..

I think 4 subjects is sensible cos it means you can choose one to drop later.

Why dont you take wikipaedia as a base reference? I am just starting A-Level and i dont think book is the problem because we are in the world of internet and turning pages in FAT book is lot disturbing than to type the required matters in google or such web search(as you think is good).

Also I am 'bout to take 5 subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Computing and General Paper.
I dont know if GP is compulsory and you all are too taking 5 subjects and not mentioning GP.
