Title: Do you think CIE really use the thresholds ?
Post by: abcdef on June 11, 2009, 05:04:04 pm: I was looking at grade thresholds from couple years, the thresholds are varied but not that much different.
when I was looking at them I'm thinking that the thresholds are "TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE" :)
For example 41/80 was an A, that's really amazing ! :D

Do you think CIE can really use the thresholds ? and what can CIE proof that they use it ?

A person I know left 3 pages in one of his paper 3's, and managed to get an A*!

Post by: bball92 on June 11, 2009, 05:37:25 pm: uhm duh they use the thresholds? why would they publish the thresholds then? whats so great about 40/80 for an A? makes it seem so easy, so cambridge are in fact making their grades look really low by publishing it...they should not be publishing it because its embarassing to them that the grades r so low lol, so yea, these r the thresholds :P
