what are ur predictions about the examz???

what are ur predictions about the examz???
Could be easier than its predecessors considering many students found P2 hard ...
-
its obviously gonna hav sh*t loads of organic so be prepared...
`1
-
well i think its probably gonna have a lot of
hess's law
kinetics
atomic structure
cuz there wasnt a lot of q's in ppr 2
im gonna have my exam in 25 hours and half
hope theres a lot of repeated qs
-
I'm gona sit for the paper in 19 hours time...I'm gona die...I think paper 1 gona be hard since paper 2 was damn hard...I felt like crying during the paper...
-
can u come online after xam n give us what came in the xam?
-
I think I'll be back home after 1 hour...I'll try my best to gv u some hints...

Actually, Paper 1 might be relatively easier since Paper 2 was hard ... Apparently, they tend to balance it out that way.
I certainly hope so. :/
-
Lets hope for the best...

Can sumbody help me with a question,it's Q10,chemistry ppr1,may/june 06
-
i don't care. i gave up hope on my P1. as i blew it with P2, so no there's no point anymore..
resitting anyway.
-
I can't go through another exam like Chemistry P2 , ORGANIC KILLED ME!! I just hope P1 isn't the same :'(
Did anyone else think that question 4 in Chemistry P2 was really annoying? If you didn't know how to do the first part , you completely lost out on that question, I've never seen that done on a paper! >:(
-

exactly - i'm thinking of skipping p1 ...
but maybe the percentile will save us all?
-
Can sumbody help me with a question,it's Q10,chemistry ppr1,may/june 06
let's take the no of mol of N2O4= x
given N2O4 is 50% dissociated, so the change of partial pressure of the gas is -0.50x, and 2mol of NO2 is +1.0x
so 0.50x + 1.0x = 1atm
x = 2/3
so Kp = (2/3)^2 divide by (0.5 x 2/3)
= 4/3 atm
:)
-
I think the percentile might save us all since the paper was extremely hard...But,pls dont skip the paper...Just do it...We may never know how its gona be...

Organic Sucks

help needed Q4 october novermer 2006
What i did is trace the line back to the y-axis.... hence it should be 70 cm3 of oxygen only , because at 0 x-axis there is no hydrocarbon only oxygen... the graph which traces back to 70 should be correct thus the answer is D... im not sure of my method, but thats what i could come up to... hope it helped ;)

I have a question myself, Question 20 OCT/NOV 2003... THEY WANTED THE ISOMERS OF C4H10O
i got butane1 ol
then butan2-ol
then methyl propan1 ol
then methypropan 2ol
another is C-C-C-O-C
another ether could be C-C-O-C-C
thats 6 not 5.... so HELP :-[...
thanks

stop it guys!!! many of us are sick off chemm!!!
i have nt studied a word today....soo im just gonna do "inky...pinky..ponki.."..
kinda hate chem......................guys has anyone given de art exam??
-
what is the best way to do the last 10 questions???
-
anyone sure of the last 10 questions please post here
-
lat ten questions
see if number one is correct. if not then the answer is C
if one is right then check 3 then two
if three is correct, it will have to be A
-
A - 1,2,3
B - 1,2
C - 2,3
D - 1
::)

Can any 1 tell me sme kind of imp hint..............
hve 1and a half hr 2 go...............
im sh*t SCARED !
-
yes edward please memrioise the last 10 answers...only last!
-
have anyone attended chemistry p1? if then could u tell me the questons u attende today????
-
November 2007 paper 1 q9 .. HOW DO YOU DO IT ??? :-[
-
Plz any1 ?
-
Plz any1 ?
im not sure if u do it this way but it worked for me
if u luk at the half equation SO32- becomes SO42-, this means it is getting oxidised by one oxygen atom hence the metal ion would get reduced to the same degree and a decrease in oxidation number would occur and +3-1=+2

Hey guys I just sat for the paper...
There were a lot organic Qs...More than 20...Inorganic also...Study about solubility...About halogens...Function of Bromide...Study about Astatine...Read a lot of past year Questions...Cis-trans stuff...
What reacts with sodium,NaHCO3...
REaction of ammonium ions...Thermal stability of H and halogens bonds...
Bond angles of organic cmpds...
Enthalphy change....
chiral centre...
FOCUS ON UR ORGANICS...

wait
how do we know he/she/it is telling the truth?
it could be that ihateteachers motherf**cker again >:(

Can anyone help me with this question?
30) Use of the Data Booklet is relevant to this question.
Ethyl ethanoate can be obtained from ethanoic acid and ethanol by the following reaction.
CH3CH2OH + CH3CO2H = CH3CO2CH2CH3 + H2O
Ethanol (30 g) and ethanoic acid (30 g) are heated under reflux together, and 22 g of ethyl
ethanoate are obtained.
What is the yield of the ester?
A 25 % B 38 % C 50 % D 77 %
This is question 30 , November 08

thank u for answering my qs..

The answer would be C - 50%.
You have to calculate the moles of both ethanol and ethanoic acid and take the smaller value.
(since they react in 1:1 ratio, one with more moles would be in excess)
the aformentoned value of moles would equal the theoretical yield of ester in moles
(as again, they are in one:one ratio i.e. one mole of ethanoic acid reacts with one mole of ethanol to form one moles of ester)
then you can multiply RMM of ester given to the mole given to find theoretical yield in mass.
you then divide actual yield by theoretical yield.
Hope this helps ;)
Meh if it doesn't.

Thanks for the help ;D

can anyone please help me with Q4 Of nov08?

...and nov 04 Q10

I hope its easy....but can u tell me what to focus on most?? what was the main topic?? what were the hard questions about
-
The hard questions were in organic chemistry.....
The was more than 20 organic chemistry....
-
That Sux!!!
-
paper 1 is so damn hard, i gave up on Chem
-
The organic part was confusing...But the rest were fine...
-
The organic part was confusing...But the rest were fine...
what do u think u will get
-
thanks for telling guyzz
-
I'm hoping to get not more than 10 wrongs...I sucked at paper 2...I hope that paper 1 and paper 3 will cover up...
How about u???
-
i will be leaving in 45 mins to give the paper
-
Anything else???
-
anything more about last 10 questions
-
ALL THE QUESTIONS WERE SIMPLE STRAIGHT FORWARD APART FROM THE LAST 2;THERE WERE 5 REPEATED
-
yeah...true...
-
Many questions were repeated, including the last two.
I have to get 35 + in this one to even hope for an overall A.
-
I also hope I can get sumthing like that...Cos I sucked at peper 2...
-
anything else, more questions, answers? please, im sitting it in 1 hour
