i have some questions
1- what are the dangers of the overuse of nitrogen fertilisers ?
2- what is the harmful effect of radiation on the human body cells?
3- whats is the harmful effect of nicotine,tar,tobacco,heroine?

1) eutrophication (if u dnt no da process..temme ;))
2) can cause mutations in body cells
3) dey all lead 2 diff probs eg.tar leads 2 lung cancer
4 da 3rd q...i still hv 2 study those so dnt quite remb.......any1 else plz ans :)

Nicotine= narrow blood vessels, raise blood pressure
Tar= causes cancer
Heroin= damage respiratory system and may cause transfer of STD like AIDS etc....
Tobacco contains nicotine and tar ;D

overuse of nitrogen fertilisers
radiation on human cells cause mutation.. if u dont take physics i'll explain a bit more.. though i doubt you'll need the info.. but good to know a lil extra..
here it is.. The rays of radiation. (alpha, beta, n gamma) can ionise and knock the molecules/particles of out body out of place.. this causes their DNA structure and information to get changed and mutated.. thus causing mutation, and often diseases such as cancer..
but it can also be used to cure cancer ironically because it can bump our molecules back into place.. or something like that..
Nicotine.. IT's a stimulant,, IT's the thing that gets u addicted and coming back for more.. It affects the brain if taken in excess amounts..
Tar will line the bronchus/trachea and stick to the alveolus.. it could destroy the bronchus/alveolus causing difficulty in breathing/lung cancer.. also it destroy the ciliated cells in the trachea whicha re important because they filter out bacteria and dust out of the throat.. They also push mucus away from the bronchus
towards the throat..
heroine?hmm lemme try.. heroine is a stimulant.. it causes the body to feel on a high causing euphoria and experiences which are very *interesting*.. the individual will experience halucinations.. if they get hurt they will not feel anything/barely anything.. it could lead to a variety of health problems..

tOBACCO CONTAIN:
Nicotine:It increases the blood pressure and so increases deposition of fats on the blood vessels walls causing atherosclerosis
Tar:It is carcinogenic(cause cancer)
It increases mucus production in trachea and paralyses the cilia so bacteria enteryng will feed on mucus and will not be got rid of by cilia so they cause inflamatio or chronic bronchitis.Also it lets the smoker to cough alot causing the alveoli to pop and this is called emphesyma.
Heroine:Its a kind of drug abuse
It causes addiction,tollerence(needs to increase the dose everytime),withdrawal symptoms(he gets sick if he leaves it)

2)High conc of nitrogen around plant roots, can cause them to lose water by osmosis. The plant suffers a water shortage, wilts and dies.

3) Some of the nitrates may be carried deep ionto the soil reaching the underground water which may be uesd as aquifers (sources of drinking water).
4) If people drink water contaminated with nitrates they may become ill.
